The Sabalan is the 3rd highest mountain in Iran, located in Azarbayjan, a northwestern region of the country. It rises up to 4.811 meters and is an inactive volcano.
For Zoroastianists it is a sacred place and the Nomads of this area believe that when all the snow of the mountain melts, it will announce the end of the time.
