Barn Owls

The Barn Owl is mostly active at dusk and at night hunting usually for rodents like rats or mice but will also frogs and small birds and other smaller prey.  It is the most widely spread owl species and often nests in hollow trees in open woodland.

Ezo Owls, Japan

Ayako Yoh sent me these cute Ezo Owl, who live on Japan's biggest island Hokkaido. The card was sent for the WiP June General Swap.

Great Owl Postcard sent by Susan Pierce for the WiP August General Swap. My grandson loved this card, and I had to fight for it so it could go into my collection :)  He loves owls,  guess he inherited that love from his granny :)

Elf Owl

The Elf Owl is the smalles owl in the world and lives in abandoned nesting cavities made by woodpeckers in Giant Saguaro Cacti.

Isn't this just an awesome owl card? It was sent by Catherine (audiopineapple) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag and shows a Long-eared Owl. The card has a great bird stamp, too.
