Santo Antao Mapcard, Cape Verde

I visited the Cape Verde islands during our  Transatlantic cruise and found this mapcard there. It is now a nice addition to my mapcard collection.

Césaria Évora, Cape Verde

Césaria Évora was a popular Cape Verdean singer. She was born on August 27, 1941 in Mindelo, Cape Verde and passed away at the age of 70 in 2011. She was nicknamed the "Barefoot Lady" for performing without shoes.
I sent this card myself during our trans Atlantic cruise.

Boa Vista Mapcard, Cape Verde

This mapcard of Boa Vista I sent to my parents during our Transatlantic Cruise. It is the easternmost island of the Cape Verde Archipelago and known for its wonderful traditional music and the marine turtles living there.

Sao Vicente mapcard, Cape Verde

This mapcard of the Island of Sao Vicente, Cape Verde, I sent myself during our cruise last year. The island was discovered on Saint Vincent day (hence its name) January 22, 1462.
Our ship stayed in the harbour of Mindelo and we took a really interesting trip across the island.
