The card says Barton Falls, but I could not find anything about them on the internet. The waterfall is located near Ithaca, New York.

Statue of the Iwo Jima Memorial, Virginia, USA



This is the top statue of the U.S. Marine Corps War Memorial, located on Arlington cemetery in Virginia, USA.  "For the Marine dead of all wars, and their comrades of other services who fell fighting beside them"

Bartholdi Fountain, Lyon, France (UNESCO)





 Bartholdi Fountain is located on the Place des Terraux, which belongs to the part of Lyon classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. It was designed by the same artist who also created the Statue of Liberty, Frédéric Auguste Bartholdi.

Absolutely beautiful postcard sent by Janie E. Monroe for the WiP Letter C Swap. It shows Sprague Lake in the Rocky Mountains National Park in Colorade. I so love how the landscape mirrors in the lake.

Carnival Victory - Cruise Ship



The Carnival Victory, Triumph Class cruise ship of the Carnival Cruise Lines. The Maiden Voyage started on October 15, 2000. With 101.509 GT it has room for 3,400 passengers and 1.000 crew members.

A66 Avro Lancaster



The A66-1 Avro Lancaster was called Queenie and flew as a trainer mainly until scrapped in 1996.

Cape San Blas Lighthouse is located southwest of Port St. Joe in Florida.  This postcard was sent by Karyn Schronski for the WiP March General Swap

Banff National Park, Canada (UNESCO)



A wonderful view of Hector Lake and Wapta Icefield in the Banff National Park in Canada. It was the first National Park in Canada, established in 1885 and declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984.

Parliament Building, Bucharest, Romania



The Palace of the Parliament in Bucharest, Romania, contains both chambers of parliament. It is the world's largest civilian building with an administrative function. Construction took from 1984 till 1997 and was designed by the then 28 year old Anca Petrescu who led a group of about 700 architects.

Tonto Apache Woman



Great postcard showing a Tonto Apache woman clothed for a special occasion. Apache women liked calico and frequently wore dresses and blouses made from this fabric. The feathers in her hair are from an eagle of hawk.

W.F. Cody (Buffalo Bill)



William Frederick Cody, born 26. Feb. 1846 in Iowa. He was a pony express rider, a bison hunter, served in the US Army during the Indian Wars, then became a scout for the army and finally founded his company Buffalo Bill Wild West, performing shows throught the USA and later even Europe, telling about life as a cowboy.
Great addition to my People Collection, thanks to Rose Davenport who sent it to me as part of the WiP February General Swap.

Sand Island Lighthouse, Wisconsin, USA



A really beautiful postcard showing Sand Island Lighthouse. It is located on Apostle Islands, Lake Superior. It was built in 1881 in norman gothic steeple style.

Mt. Elbert, Colorado, USA



Beautiful Colorado scenery with Mt. Elbert in the background. With 4.401 m Mt. Elbert is the highest summit in the North American Rocky Mountains. It was named in honour of the Colorado statesman Samuel Hitt Elbert.
