Birla Temple, Delhi, India
This awesome postcard was sent by my long-time postcard friend Rod Eime. It shows the breathtaking Birla Mandir, a Hindu temple in Delhi. There are quite a few temples with the name Birla, which derives from the name of the family that built these paces of worship. This one is located in the heart of the city of New Delhi and a major tourist attraction and was built in 1939 by Ghanshyamdas Birla and his brothers.
Thank you very much Rod, also for making this card perfect with the beautiful stamp !
