Granada Azulejo, Spain
This card in azulejo style shows the beautiful city of Granada, capital city of Andalusia, Spain. There are a lot of different influences from ancient times, Phoenician, Greek, Roman, Punic and Ibearian, but also Moorish.
In 711 the Moors conquered large parts of the Iberian peninsula, forming a new kingdom which they called Al-Andalus. The most impressive heritage the Moors left in Granada is undoubtedly the huge Moorish castle Alhambra on a hill overlooking the city.
This awesome card was sent by Anna Bogdanovskaya for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.
