Wonderful card of Coeur d'Alene Lake in Idaho, sent by Kori and Aleesa for the WiP October General Swap.
The Lake was formed by the Missoula Floods about 12000 to 15000 years ago and is located in the Idaho Panhandle. In the 1870ies General William T. Sherman ordered a fort to be built at the banks of the lake and it was called Coeur d'Alene fort, the city that grew around the fort then took over this name. Today it is the largest city and county seat of Kootenai County.
