Tucson is the second biggest city in Arizona with about half a million inhabitants. There are over 150 companies in Tucson involved in the design and manufacture of optics and optoelectronic systems, which gave the Tuscon the nickname Optics Valley.
The first settlers in the area were probably the Paleo-Indians about 12.000 years ago.
