This card commemorates the first cross-country automobile journey. Berta Benz drove with her sons Richard and Eugen and without telling her husband or the permission of the authorities from Mannheim to Pforzheim where the telegraphed home: Arrived safely in Pforzheim.
I sent this card home when visiting Mannheim.
