Great mapcard of Port Jackson and the Sydney Cove sent by Rod Eime.
The picture on the postcard is actually a drawing made by Francis Fowkes in 1788.
Sydney Cove is a small bay on the southern shore of Port Jackson containing Sydney Harbour which is the natural harbour of Sydney, Australia. It is considered to be one of the world's finest harbours. Here also the famous Sydney Opera House (UNESCO) and the Sydney Harbour bridge are located. Sydney was the first European settlement in Australia. The first recorded discovery by a European was by James Cook in 1770.
