This is a scene from the film "Farinelli" (1994) directed by Gérard Corbiau, a biographical film about the life and carreer of opera singer Farinelli. It won the Golden Globe for best foreign language film in 1995. This particurlar picture was taken inside the Bayreuth Margravial Opera House, built between 1744 and 1748.
I sent this card myself for my own collection when visiting the city recently.
