RMS Queen Mary is permanently docked in Long Beach, California as a tourist attraction and is in use as hotel, event location and museum. Her maiden voyage took place on May 27, 1936 and then primarily sailed the North Atlantic till 1967. During World War II she was converted into a troop ship to ferry allied soliders. After the war she was returned to her old glory and restarted sailing passengers across the oceans.
The great card was sent by Susan Pierce for the WiP ABC Letter Q swap.
