W.F. Cody (Buffalo Bill)



William Frederick Cody, born 26. Feb. 1846 in Iowa. He was a pony express rider, a bison hunter, served in the US Army during the Indian Wars, then became a scout for the army and finally founded his company Buffalo Bill Wild West, performing shows throught the USA and later even Europe, telling about life as a cowboy.

North Cape, Norway



This postcard shows the North Cape, which is often mistakenly called the northermost point of Europe. It was sent by my parents from their cruise to Scandinavia

Prince Albert II of Monaco



Great addition to my royalty collection sent by my parents from their Mediterranean cruise. It shows Prince Albert II, head of state of the small Principality in the south of France.

Blue-footed Boobies on Galapagos, Ecuador (UNESCO)



A wonderful surprise coming from my dear friends Simone and Patrick Klein from their trip to the Galapagos Islands. The card shows blue-footed boobies. Half of the species finds its breeding grounds on the Galapagos Islands.

Prince Giolo



As always an extraordinary postcard from Rod Eime. This time it shows an engraving by John Savage of Prince Giolo. He was the son of  the chief of the island of Moangis, which is located near the Philippine island of Mindanao.

Sand Island Lighthouse, Wisconsin, USA



A really beautiful postcard showing Sand Island Lighthouse. It is located on Apostle Islands, Lake Superior. It was built in 1881 in norman gothic steeple style.
