Peaches from Georgia

This card arrived here for the WiP Something Tasty Swap from Amanda Hakkarainen. Georgia is famous for it great peaches, there are actually over 40 different variations of that fruit in Georgia. I like peaches, so who knows, I might visit the place just to try all 40 different kinds :)

The beautiful city of Trondheim ended up in my mailbox for the WiP Multiview swap and was sent by Tone Fjosne. The city was founded as a trading post in 997 and was the capital of Norway during the Viking age. Today it is the 3rd biggest city of the country.

Warnemünde, Molenfeuer, Germany

One of my favourite postcards! The Molenfeuer (actually it is not a lighthouse) marks the entrance to the canal and thus to the harbour of Rostock, together with its red white twin on the other mole. Rafal sent me this card for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag

Maiko Girls, Japan

Maiko is the Japanese word for Dancing Girl. Actually a Maiko is an apprentice Geisha. This great card came from Miho (biic) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.

Images of Canada

Nice multiview from Julie for the WiP Multiview Swap. It shows typical scenery and wildlife of Canada. Great stamps too, matching the theme of the card :)

Tampa, Florida

For the WiP Typical Swap Amanda Hakkarainen sent my e great night view of the Tampa Skyline. The city is located on the West Coast of Florida. Tampa began in 1824 as a frontier outpost called Fort Brooke. Pioneers started to settle close to the fort. Today Tampa is a city with nearly 350.000 inhabitants.

Koli National Park, Finland

This great view of Koli National Park in Finland was sent to me by Anne (miau-meow) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag. This park was not established to preserve wild nature, as so many others, but rather to preserve the traditional way of agriculture in this area.

Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui, Thailand

Koh Samui is an island in Thailand attracting about 1.5 million tourists per year with its rich nature and awesome white sandy beaches. It was first inhibited by fishermen from the Malay peninsula and appears on Chinese maps dating back to 1687. I wouldn't mind spending a few weeks there to relax and soak up some sun during the cold European wintertime :)
The card was sent by friends of my daughter and is a welcome addtion to my collection.

North Shore Superior Hiking Trail, Minnesota

The Superior Hiking Trail is a 442 km long (275 miles) footpath that follows the ridgeline overlooking Lake Suprior in Minnesota. Motorized vehicles and horses are not allowed, it is intended for hiking only. There are numerous campsites along the trail that allow long distance hiking. It has to be a wonderful experience with all the beautiful nature and the great views of the lake below.
Ruth Smith sent me this beautiful autumn card for the WiP October General Swap.

Peoples of Malaysia

Great card sent by Shurbani for the WiP September swap. It shows women of the different peoples of Malaysia all dressed in their national costumes.
