Tauric Chersonese and St. Vladimir Cathedral, Crimea, Ukraine (UNESCO)
The Neo-Byzantine Russian Orthodox cathedral of Saint Vladimir in the background is located on the site of historic city of Tauric Chersonese. The city was founded by Dorian Greeks in the 5th century BC and inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2013. My first card of this relatively new UNESCO site. It was sent by Irene for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.
