Taxila, Pakistan (UNESCO)

Absolutely awesome addition to my UNESCO collection. Taxila, an ancient city in northern Pakistan. It was a centre of learning and science and is the location of one of the first universities in the world. The card came with awesome stamps, too.
Thank you so much !!!

Hunza View Hotel, Karimabad, Pakistan

An older card, given to me by friends who received it from a family member. It shows the Hunza View Hotel in Karimabad, in the Hunza Valley, Pakistan.

Rohtas Fort, Jhelum, Pakistan (UNESCO)

A great UNESCO World Heritage Card showing Rohtas Fort in Pakistan, inscribed in 1997. It has naver been taken by storm and has survived the centuries almost completely intact. The monumental walls have bastions and mighty gates and are about 4 km long. It is an exceptional example of muslim military architecture.
The card was sent for a UNESO Round Robin on Postcrossing by Karen. Unfortunately it was sent from Finland instead of the country of origin, but I was happy with it nonetheless :)
