Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said, Oman
This card I bought in Muscat, Oman during our cruise and sent it home to my parents. It shows the ruler of the Sultanate of Oman, Qaboos bin Said al Said. He is the 14th sultan of the Al Bu Sa'id Dynasty and the longest serving Arab leader. In 1970 he succeeded his father after a palace coup, thus ending the country's isolation, leading it into a more open and modern future by using the revenues of the oil reserves.
He is a well loved and respected ruler, as we ourselves were able to experience, the people talk about him with love and reverence, grateful for his wise leadership.

Oman Mosque
Awesome postcard of a mosque in the Sultanate of Oman, sent by my parents. The card did not say though which mosque it is and my internet research didn't shed a light on it either. If anyone knows, please let me know! The card is a real treasure for me, though!

Bait Al Zubair Museum, Muscat, Oman
The Bait Al Zubair Museum is found in Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman. On display are mostly items from the owner's private collections, like ancient weapons, household equipment and costumes.
The card was sent by my parents from their cruise to the UAE.
