Speyer, Germany (UNESCO)

Greetings sent from Speyer, Germany on an official Postcrossing card sent by my namesake Sabine :)
Speyer is a middle sized town in the Rhineland-Palatinate. The cathedral was inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1881. Construction begun in 1030 under Conrad II. It is the burial site of several emperors and kings and as such it is regarded as a symbol of imperial power.
