Potala Palace, Tibet, China (UNESCO)

Until 1959, when the 14th Dalai Lama fled Tibet for India in the Tibetan Uprising, Potala Palace was the Dalai Lama's chief residence. In 1994 it was inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage list with extensions in 2000 and 2001.
This great card was sent by Lin (ToffeeCat) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.
