View down through the morning mist to the beautiful town of Monschau in the Eifel. The historic city center has lots narrow streets and half timbered houses, that have remained almost unchanged for over 300 years. It is a popular tourist spot these days. First time the place was mentioned in documents was in 1198. The castle protecting the town and surrounding country dates back to the 13th century.
I found this card in a small postcard shop in the historic center and just had to send it home to be added to my collection :)
