Queen Elizabeth wearing the Kokoshnik Tiara. It was commissioned by Lady Salisbury on behalf of the 365 peeresses of the realm for Queen Alexandra in 1888. It has 488 diamonds set in white and yellow gold. Queen Mary inherited it from her mother in law in 1925 and then it went straight to Queen Elisabeth upon Queen Mary's death in 1953.
This great card was sent by Amanda Hakkarainen for the WiP Letter Q Swap.
