Great postcard sent by
Rod Eime from Macau. It shows the ruined facade of
St. Paul Cathedral, built in 1602 with the assistance of Japanese Christians who fled Japan. It was destroyed in a big fire on January 26, 1835, leaving only the facade and the steps which are now the symbols of Macau for its magnificent appearance. In 2005 the ruins were inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage list.
