Xanten, Germany

This postcard I sent when visiting the city of Xanten this year. It is located in Northrhine Westphalia and it is Germany's only city starting with the letter X.  On the picture is the Cathedral of St. Viktor Construction started in 1263 and lasted 281 years until it was finally finished in 1544. It is dedicated to Saint Victor of Xanten who supposedly was executed in the 4th century for refusing to sacrifice to the Roman gods.
