Egmont Key, Florida, USA

The current Egmont Key Light was built in 1858. It is made from brick and was automated in 1990. It is the second lightouse in this place, the first one was built in 1848. 3 hurricanes hit the lighthouse and cause major damage, so that it was beyond salvaging and a new one was erected.
This postcard, a welcome addition to my lighthouse collection, was sent by Amanda Hakkarainen for the WiP Lighthouse Swap.
