Great evening view of the beautiful city of Gdansk in Poland sent by Barbara Brucka for the WiP October General Swap.
On the card you can see the Town Hall with its beautiful soaring spire and the Main Market Square. The first written record of the city is found in the Vita of Sait Adalbert which was written in 999. Gdansk is mentioned there a the place where Saint Adalbert was baptizing the inhabitants of the surrounding area in 997. Although historians think that the city is even older and research is going on.
