Deadwood, South Dakota, USA

This card intrigued me as I am a passionate Gin player.  Reading the text on the back was interesting. The two persons shown are Wild Bill Hickok and Calamaity Jane.
Hickok, being an army scout, was shot from behind while holding two pairs of aces and eights in a poker game. Ever since this hand has been called the "Dead Man's Hand".
Calamity Jane was a scout with Custer's cavalry and worked as a Pony Express rider, delivering mail between Custer and Deadwood.
The card was sent by Denise (hickreenut) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.
