For the WiP Wing Swap this card was sent by Zhong Wenhua. It shows cranes at Poyang Lake in China. Poyang Lake used to be the biggest freshwater lake in China. But due to drought and the Three Gorges Dam the size of the lake was reduced from over 3500 km2 to a mere 200 km2. It is a habitat for over 500.000 migratory birds, among them Siberian Cranes. Most of that species spend winter at Lake Poyang before returning home for summer.
