A great card showing the Ice Palace of St. Petersburg in front of the Winter Palace. The Ice Palace is completely made of ice blocks that are glued together with water. The first Ice Palace ever was built in St. Petersburg ordered by Empress Anna as part of the festivities of Russia's victory over Turkey. Since then the building of such Ice Palaces got popular, also in the USA and Canada.
