An Irish Lighthouse coming to Germany via the United States :) The Postcard was sent by Rose Davenport for the WiP December General swap.
Hook Head Lighthouse is located in the County of Waterford in Ireland and is one of the oldest lighthouses in Europe. It was built by the Normans between 1170 and 1184 and is still working today. Even before that time a fire beacon (set up there in the 5th century) had been warning the mariners from the dangers of the Irish coast
