I sent this postcard home to my parents from our cruise in November.
Agadir is a major city in the south west of the country as well as a tourist place for holidays almost all year round. On February 29, 1960, at 11:45 pm a 15 seconds earthquake destroyed most of the city, killing thousands of people. Reconstruction of the city began only one year later, 2 km away from the epicenter. It was the second destruction of the city due to earthquakes, the first happened in 1731.
