Rejected Design for the US State Capitol

Ruth Smith sent me this great postcard showing a design for the US State Capitol by Benjamin Henry Latrobe which was then rejected. I agree with Ruth here, the one that was finally chosen looks much nicer :) This was for the WiP I spy Stairs Swap.
