Georgia Flag and Seal
A new card for my US map and flag collection. Georgia was the 4th state admitted to the United States, on January 2, 1788. The postcard was sent by Naomi (nhigh) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.
Segovia, Spain (UNESCO)
This card shows the Cathdral in Segovia, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Old Town of Segovia and Roman Aqueduct. The Cathedral is of late Gothic style and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It was built between 1525 and 1577. The belltower is almost 90 meters high. The beautiful card was sent by Anna (bogdanovskaya) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag.

Dunquin, Ireland
A great postcard arrived from Claudia Busse for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag. It shows Dunquin Pier. Dunquin is the most westerly point of mainland Ireland
Lord of the Rings - The Two Towers
This wonderful postcard about one of my favourite films was sent by Julia (jujak) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag. The small message on the rubber stamp says: Collecting is Passion. How true, for us postcard collectors :)

Clonmacnoise Monastic Site, Ireland
Claudia Busse sent me this awesome postcard with dolphin stamp for the WiP July General swap. On the back it says: Clonmacnoise is an early Christian site founded by St. Clarán in the mid-6th-century on the eastern bank of the River Shannon. The site includes the ruins of a cathedral, seven churches (10th - 13th century) two round towers, three high crosses and the largest collection of Early Christian gravestones in Western Europe.
Yelizovo and Kamchatka Volcanoes (UNESCO)
This beautiful postcard was sent by Gosia for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag. It shows an aerial view of the city Yelizovo and the sourrounding volcanoes in the background, The stamp is a beauty too :)
Holy Mosque at prayer time, Mecca
Great view of the Holy Mosque in Mecca at prayer time sent again by Janti Qar. What an awesome postcard and great stamps. I just love the shower of cards getting from my old postcard friend again. Glad to be back in touch :)
Royal Wedding in London

Wexford, Ireland
An awesome view of Wexford, a small city in the south east of Ireland. I really love the reflections of the beautiful buildings in the water. Wexford was founded by the Vikings in about 800 AD. The card was sent by Brian Kavanagh for the WiP Something Wet swap.
Detroit., Michigan
This beautiful postcard showing the Detroit Skyline was sent by Colleen (choke) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag. Detroit is also known as "Motor City" and is the largest city in the state of Michigan.
Holy Kaaba, Mekka
Another awesome postcard sent by Janti Qar from his trip to Mekka in Saudi Arabia. It shows the Holy Kaaba, the most sacred place in Islam. All Muslims around the world face the Kaaba during prayers, no matter where they are. Great stamps too :)

Neuenstein Castle, Germany
Castle Neuenstein in Hesse, Germany, was built in the 12th century as a moated castle and later remodelled into a Rennaissance residence. My parents sent me this wonderful postcard.
Zwingli Door, Great Minster. Zürich
Ingrid Passarello sent me this magnificent postcard showing the Zwingli Door at the Great Minster of Zürich for the WiP July General Swap. Huldrych Zwingli was a leader of the reformation in Switzerland. In 1518 he became Pastor of the Great Minster in Zürich.

My parents sent me this beautiful multiview from a trip to Baden-Württemberg. Öhringen was known as Vicus Aurelii to the Romans and is close to the Limes, the Roman frontier wall.
Petroglyph Panel, Mesa Verde National Park, USA
Awesome postcard showing one of the largest intact petroglyph panels in Mesa Verde National Park. This work represents a form of written communication used by the Ancestral Puebloan people. The card was sent by Ruth Smith for the WiP Letter M swap.
Letoonia Club Hotel, Turkey
This is an official Postcrossing card sent from Russia, but showing the Turkish holiday resort Letoonia Club in Fethiye. I'd love to spend a week or two there, just relaxing and sailing :)

Hadrian's Wall, United Kingdom (UNESCO)
A great postcard showing Hadrian's Wall in Northumberland, sent by Yvonne McCaffrey for the WiP UNESCO Swap. Hadrian's Wall was a defensive fortification in Roman Britain, begun in 122 AD. It was inscribed into the UNESCO list in 1987.
Toledo City Wall, Spain (UNESCO)
This wonderful postcard was sent by Anna (bogdanovskaya) for the Postcrossing Favourites tag. It shows the city walls of UNESCO city Toledo in central Spain. It once was the capital city of the Spanish Empire and a place where Christians, Jews and Muslims live in peaceful coexistance. Toledo was inscribed into the UNESCO list in 1986.

This great postcard sent by Ezgi (melodia) for the Postcrossing Favourites Tag shows the Ishak Pasha Palace in eastern Turkey. It is a rare example of the historic Turkish palaces. I just love this sunset view.
Pont du Gard, France (UNESCO)
The Pont du Gard is an ancient Roman aqueduct bridge in southern France crossing the Gard river. It was inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985. Judy Lewis sent me this beautiful postcard in a private swap via Flickr.
Galicia Mapcard
A wonderful map of the Spanish province Galicia was sent to me by Sylvie for the Favourites Tag on Postcrossing. It is located in the north west of Spain and has a lot of history to offer as well as beautiful coasts and beaches.
